Exceptional characteristics and quality of the labelled products are closely linked to their place of origin and production. P.D.O. corresponds to the 'protected designation of origin' and requires origin and production in the region. P.G.I. is a 'protected geographical indication' which guarantees that the final processing takes place in the designated area with high quality standards.
